Chuck M. Martinez has an extensive background in sales and event management and has an instinctive ability to focus on a client’s special needs and objectives. Chuck’s diverse experience includes time in the hotel industry with Stouffer Hotels & Resorts and The Continental Companies, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and at PGI, where he managed regional operations for this global events management firm. In addition, Chuck also served with Championship Auto Racing Teams as Vice President of Hispanic Marketing and President/General Manager of the Grand Prix Americas where he was responsible for marketing, producing and operating this globally televised automobile racing event which attracted over 100,000 people.
Chuck’s exceptional blend of talents & experience has enabled him to develop a strong network of contacts and to maintain on-going relationships in various industries. Chuck is also a principal at Waldorf Management Group, a Miami-based management firm.
Frederik de Roode. De Roode is a 38 year veteran of the hotel industry. He joined Inter-Continental in 1977, and was most recently Regional Vice President Operations Southeast/Vice President and General Manager, Hotel Inter-Continental Miami. Prior to that, he served as Regional Vice President Northeast and Vice President and General Manager of the Hotel Inter-Continental New York.
De Roode’s prior work experience includes senior management positions across three continents, among them General Manager of Inter-Continental Hotels in Paris and Maui and as Analyst with the hospitality accounting firm of Leventhal & Horwath. A native New Yorker, he is a graduate of the Ecole Hoteliere in Lausanne, Switzerland and the University of Paris.
